The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) will issue its examination calendar within a week. Further, notices for three to four important exams will be issued in October-November and three to four exams will be held in December-January.
The UKPSC chairman Rakesh Kumar informed that the cabinet had decided to transfer 23 exams to be conducted by Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Board to the UKPSC. The commission has started its preparations on a war footing to facilitate this. In a meeting of the UKPSC held on Monday, it was decided that the examination calendar will be released within a week. Notices for three to four examinations will be released in October-November on a priority basis while three to four examinations will be conducted in December this year and January next year.
Action will be ensured after detailed consideration of syllabus for the exam, recruitment rules, advertisement and other aspects to avoid any legal hurdle in the future. A request letter has been sent to the State administration to provide adequate human and financial resource to enable effective execution of these tasks by the commission. A public grievance redressal cell (PCRC) is also being established to address any grievances or doubts of the public to maintain the trust of the public in the UKPSC. The candidates have been requested to observe patience and prepare for the exam according to the exam calendar which will be uploaded within a week on the commission’s website psc.uk.gov.in.
