The State's Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has been nominated as the member of the Mission Steering Group (MSG) of Ayushman Bharat Digital mission of the union ministry of Health and Family Planning. The Union Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya is the chairman of the MSG.
The MSG is the premier policy making and operation set up under the National Health Mission and is mandated for effective implementation of the Digital mission of Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
Apart from Rawat, the Health ministers of Kerala and Sikkim have also been made members of the elite group. Expressing gratitude to the Union Health minister Mandavia on his nomination, Rawat said that sincere effort would be made to fulfil the objectives for which the MSG has been constituted. The minister said that the first meeting of the MSG would be held in New Delhi on Wednesday. He said that digital health IDs of the people under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission are being made and in Uttarakhand digital health IDs of more than 22 lakh persons have been made. The minister said that digitisation of all hospitals; clinics and health centres would be done under the programme which would make things simple and easy. The health record of the digital ID holders would be available online and it can be accessed from anywhere
