Due to the efforts of the district administration, Budha Pahar, which is a stronghold of Naxalites, will be lit up by the solar plant, it will also be connected by a paved road.
About 125 kilometers away from the district, Khapri Mahua, Tumera Tumer etc. villages situated at the foothills of Budha Pahar, located on the border of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, has been influenced by Naxalites since decades. On October 6, for the first time, the district administration reached Khapri Mahua village and met the villagers of the area and listened to their problems and assured to solve them as soon as possible. . The people of the district administration were readily engaged in providing all the basic facilities like road, electricity, water and health facilities.
A 25 KVA solar plant will be set up in Jhala Dera village located on Budha Pahar, due to its location in a remote area, where immediate electrification is not possible. And five KVA each solar plants will be installed in six villages situated at its foothills, Hesatu, Bahera Toli, Tumera, Tarer, Khapri Mahua etc.
Garhwa DC Ramesh Gholap confirmed and said that to installed solar plants proposals have been sent to the JERDA. The official of JAREDA has also assured to set up a solar plant soon.
From Pundag to Police Camp situated at Jhala Dera Village on Budha Pahar 4.40 km road an estimated cost of Rs.40 has been prepared and sent to the government, which is expected to be approved soon. The district administration is engaged in fulfilling the assurance given in the Janata Darbar organized at Khapri Mahua.
In view of the facility of drinking water, the work of two water schemes for the village located at the foothills of Budha Pahar, which cost about Rs 41 lakh, is going on. Soon the facility of drinking water will be available for the villagers settled in remote areas. The DC said that 64 people of the village situated at the foothills of Budha Pahar have been linked with pension and 220 girls have been linked with Savitribai Phule Yojana. For the purpose of providing employment, 53 schemes are being run under MNREGA. New ration cards have been made to 51 people. 8 families have been given the benefit of livestock scheme. Beneficiaries have been given to 11 people, houses have been provided to 17 people and new Aadhaar cards have been made for 54 people under the Mukhyamantri Swasthya Sahayata Yojana. The DC further informed that apart from this, 40 machines for making Dona Patal are being purchased at a cost of three crore rupees for Yes Vijay Aajeevika, which will be distributed among the villagers.
