To give wings to the hidden talent to help the students channelize their inherent knowledge and expertise HEMA Higher Secondary School organized the ‘Skill n Thrills fun zone and culmination of interdisciplinary activities’ for classes I to VIII on Sunday, where students displayed number of models and showcased their knowledge, confidence, efficiency and passion for the subject.
The programme started off with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the distinguished dignitaries followed by welcome song. Principal Ms. Poonam Sharma addressed the gathering through her inspiring words where madam emphasized on integrated learning and creative problem solving. Madam also focused on importance of practical education as per the New Education Policy.
The primary kids showcased different concepts through art integrated projects, skits, songs and dances. The little ones rocked the stage by their amazing performances.
That was not only fun – oriented but also it gave a message to viewers like stop deforestation, save water, method of decomposition, taking care of animals and the scintillating dance displaying the magic of different shapes. The little learners also made different models on plants, fruits and vegetables highlighting their nutritional values.
The students of VI – VIII displayed their models based on different subjects. In science zone numbers of working models were displayed covering different genres. In English a role play on tenses was enacted to clear the concept in an effective and entertaining manner. Students made and displayed working models on different grammar topics. Eco world of social science displayed models giving message about the ill effects of pollution. Working Models also depicted the cause of day and night and functioning of dams.
Amazing dance based on shapes, yoga – based on geometry, fun games based on number system, factors & decimals, measurements, data handling and money amazed the parents.
All the parents and guest explored different models designed by the students and assessed the description given by the students and appreciated the efforts made by the students and teachers. The exhibition came to an end with the proposing of vote of thanks by Ms. Suman Tripathi.
