Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said that the Shaheed Smarak being built at Ambala Cantt highlighting the supreme sacrifices and valour of those who participated in the first war of Independence will be a unique amalgamation of technology and history that will inspire the future generations.
The Chief Minister was talking to reporters after visiting the Red Fort Museum in Delhi on Friday with Home Minister Anil Vij. According to an official spokesperson, Khattar and the Home Minister not only enquired about the state of the art technology used in the museum but also discussed the structural plan of the Shaheed Smarak with the officers concerned.
The technical team through a detailed presentation apprised the Chief Minister about the way the new technology will be used to make the Smarak being built in Ambala Cantt more attractive. He also inquired about the light and sound show at Red Fort Museum, the spokesperson added.
Interacting with the media persons at Haryana Bhawan after coming back from Red Fort, the Chief Minister said that the building work of Shaheed Memorial is almost complete, only some technical related things may take some more time to complete.
He expressed hope that the Shaheed Smarak would be completely ready within a year’s time. Directing the technical team, the Home Minister said that the Shaheed Smarak in Haryana should become a unique symbol of inculcating the spirit of patriotism among future generations.
Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr Amit Agrawal, Regional Director, Archaeological Department of India Arvin Manjul were also present.
