Train no. 02181 /02182 Rewa - Udaipur City - Rewa Weekly Superfast train service was flagged off by Ashwini Vaishnav, Union Railways Minister, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India (via video conferencing).

Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnav along with MP Lok Sabha Rewa Janardan Mishra graced this dignified ceremony from Rewa railway station and addressed the people of the area by attending the forums. MLA Rewa Rajendra Shukla and other dignitaries were also present in this program.

Addressing the program on this occasion, Railway Minister said that Indian Railways is moving towards a new direction on Sunday under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He saluted this heroic land of Rajasthan and praised the honorable local MP for the development of railways in this area, as well as the strong leaders in Rewa and West Bengal.

Ashwini Vaishnav said that Vande Bharat, made in India with indigenous technology under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister, is better than Japan's best bullet train in the world. Talking about the redevelopment of stations, he said that the stations are being built with a plan for the next 50 years. With the start of this train services, the benefit of better connectivity and easy and economical travel between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will come. Along with this, tourism will get a boost due to the establishment of the Rewa region of MP with Udaipur, the city of lakes in Rajasthan.

WCR GM Sudhir Kumar Gupta, AGM Shobhan Choudhury and other prominent Chief Heads of Departments were also present through video conferencing.
