Under the influence of a western disturbance, several parts of the State would witness light to moderate rainfalls from February 3, the Regional Office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here predicted on Sunday.
Light to moderate rains or thundershowers are very likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of north interior Odisha and Subarnapur and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts, the IMD said.
Meanwhile, the cold wave conditions continued to sweep several parts of the State with the mercury dipping below 10 degree Celsius in 10 stations of in the last 24 hours.
Phulbani in Kandhamal district became the coldest place in the State as the mercury dipped to 6.2 degree on Saturday followed by Keonjhar with 6.4 degree.
The other places which recorded temperature below 10 degree were Daringbadi 7 degree, Jharsuguda 7.6, Sonepur 7.9, Boudh 8.5, Bhawanipatna and Koraput 9 degree each, Hirakud 9.6 and Balangir 9.5 degree.
