Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Banwarilal Purohit, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Friday expressed profound grief at the sudden demise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother.

Purohit, in the condolence message, said: “Losing a loved one is extremely painful, but there is nothing as tragic as losing a parent, especially a mother. She stands with her children through all turmoil and happy times. Ever present in our lives, she forever will remain in our memory even when she passes away into the ages.”

Saying that the loss of respected Heeraba is irreparable, the Governor offered his deepest and heartfelt condolences. He also prayed that the Almighty might give the Prime Minister and his family the strength to bear the tragic loss.

The Chief Minister also expressed profound grief and sorrow, said that the death of Heeraben Modi is a huge loss for the entire nation. He described Heeraben Modi as a pious soul committed to basic human values.

Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, Mann prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to family members to bear this irreparable loss.

Speaker Sandhwan said that the demise of a mother is unbearable for any person. He expressed his grief with the Prime Minister and prayed to the Almighty to give strength to family and relatives to bear this irreparable loss and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.

The state’s Forest, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Forest Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak has also expressed profound grief saying that the loss of mother is a colossal one which creates a void that can never be filled. The Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
