Property tax offices of South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) will remain open on coming Saturday and Sunday to allow people to pay their taxes with rebate during the financial Year 2021-22.
The move will facilitate property tax payers for filing of Self Assessment Property Tax Return (SAPTR) and to avail the benefit of waiver of interest and penalty on payment of outstanding demand of property tax under ongoing Amnesty Scheme-2021-22, a senior SDMC official said, adding that all offices will be open from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
The official said that special arrangements have been made at all offices of the property tax department and counters have been set up to assist the property tax payers. The last date of filing of property tax return is March 31, 2022. The civic body has requested property tax payers living in its area to avail benefits of Amnesty Scheme-2021-22 and to avail waiver on penalty and interest by filing return on time.
