PRADHAN MEETS PREZ MURMU  (Pix)

New Delhi: Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday met President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and felicitated her with a Sambalpuri Uttariya. Pradhan also presented her with a book ‘Pabitra Granthabali’ on renowned freedom fighter of the Prajamandal Andolan of Talcher, Pabitra Mohan Pradhan. Union Minister of State for Education Dr Subhas Sarkar was present.

 

ECoRWWO’S DONATION TO ORPHANS  (Pix)

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO) under the leadership of its president Anupama Srivastava donated a computer desktop set with printer to the inmates staying at Asha Kiran of Bhubaneswar as a part of efforts towards improving computer education and attending online classes of orphan children. Members of the ECoRWWO including secretary Manmita Mandal, treasurer Bharti Ninawe and Rosina Jena were present on the occasion.

 

10 MORE HOSPITALISED FOR DIARRHOEA IN MOHANA  (Pix)

Paralakhemundi: At least 10 fresh cases of diarrhoea were reported at P Govindpur village of Mohana block in Gajapati district. While two students of Class 5 were admitted in Mohana CHC, a woman of Jamling was referred to the MKCG MCH, Brahmapur. The other eight persons were under treatment. Executive Engineer, RWSS, Prakash Das visited the village. On July 26, five persons of the village were admitted at Mohana CHC who complained symptoms of diarrhoea. A 9- year-old girl among the infected had died.

 

B’GARH REVENUE CLERK HELD TAKING BRIBE  (Pix)

Bargarh: Balaram Kalari, senior revenue assistant in Bargarh Tehsildar office was arrested for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from a complainant for preparing a report on partition of land of his ancestral property and issuance of separate RoR. In this connection, the Sambalpur Vigilance registered a case and an investigation was in progress.

Bhubaneswar: Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd, a Miniratna I PSE under the Union Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas announced the unveiling of its new state-of-the-art Cold Chain Unit at Bhubaneswar on Friday. Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameswar Teli inaugurated the facility.
