93 children in Haryana given benefit letters under PM CARES for Children scheme
Chandigarh: Virtually interacting with the children who lost their parents during the Coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that it is difficult to put into words the pain of the children who have lost their parents during the Corona pandemic. The Government official spokesperson said that in Haryana, 93 beneficiary children attended the PM programme at different district headquarters. Certificates of benefits related to various Central schemes and health cards of Ayushman Bharat Scheme were distributed to the beneficiary children by the Chief Guests present at the headquarters.
Punjab Minister hands over consent letters under PM Cares Scheme to 38 COVID affected children
Chandigarh: Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Baljit Kaur on Monday handed over PM Cares Scheme’s consent letters for monetary assistance to 38 children of Punjab, who became orphans due to COVID. These children were chosen by the District Magistrates for PM CARES Scheme under which these children will get Rs.10 lac upon reaching the age of 18 years besides free education in government schools, government aided schools, kendriya vidyalaya, private schools, cost of books and uniform will also be covered under this scheme.
10-year-old boy rescued within 13 hours of abduction, 3 arrested in Nuh
Chandigarh: The Nuh district police on Monday rescued a 10-year-old boy within 13 hours of his abduction in Tauru. Police arrested three accused and recovered two country made pistols, two cartridges and Rs 16.5 lakh from their possession. According to police, on May 27, a person had approached police saying his 10-year-old son was abducted in a Wagon R car while he was cycling outside his house. The accused had reportedly sought Rs 25 lakh as ransom and already taken Rs 16.5 lakh from the victim's family, said police. Nuh district SP Varun Singla, said, “We launched a search, ensuring secrecy and child's safety and managed to free him from abductees within hours. Investigation is on”.
