Fuelled with dispute over passengers, a 32-year-old youth was attacked by three miscreants with sharp-edged weapons near Halalpur bus stand under Koh-e-Fiza police station on Friday.
Police said that a man was rushed to hospital after he was attacked by three armed miscreants near Halalpur bus stand. The injured was identified as Rameez who was attacked by Arif, Ashiq and Saddam with sharp edged weapons.
In his complaint, the victim told the police that he and accused are involved in operating auto rickshaws and had a fight over passengers which turned violent on Friday. At the time of incident victim had a fight with Arif over passengers and low fare offered by victim. The two brothers of Arif soon joined him and attacked victim in his head and other body parts.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC. The victim is undergoing treatment and is under observation. Arif was arrested by the police while search has been intensified for the absconding accused who are still at large.
The accused and victim has a fight over providing passengers to the bus operators at the Halalpur bus stand and while the two were having passengers and jumped they turn to provide passengers which lead to their fight.
