Population of in-between five to six lakh is under the grip of fear since the notice has been served citing a report by Director General Mines Safety ( DGMS) in which it has been claimed that the entire area is under threat of subsidence due to underground mine fire.

Again similar tactics has been adopted allegedly in connivance with select outsourced coal mining company's to get select areas vacated , she said.
Condemning the move she said , compensation , rehabilitation and employment are main issues that need to be tackled first then only any action would be allowed by the BCCL.
Not only the MLA but other political parties including BJP and others have also expressed concern over the election notice when the rehabilitation record is too poor.
Sources said less that 2000 families could be rehabilitated in the last 12 years .
BJP leader Ragini Singh, wife of former Jharia MLA Sanjeev Singh said , a massive protest would be organised if BCCL moved steps forward on this issue.
