Jharia Division of Tata Steel celebrated the 118th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata today here.
The day long programme started with paying homage to JRD Tata at GM Office by Narendra Kumar Gupta, Chief- Sijua Group, Jharia Division besides Debashis Banerjee, Chief- Human Resource , Mayank Sekhar, Chief - Jamadoba Group, Jharia Division, besides union leaders and employees of company here.
Several programmes were organised including Cross-Country Race for under-16 years and special aids and appliances distribution programme for the leprosy patients at. Altogether 347 students participated in the cross country race that was flagged-off jointly by Mayank Sekhar, Chief, Jamadoba Group and Santosh Mahato, Regional secretary of RCMS.
Crutches, wheelchairs and MCR (Micro Cellular Rubber) Protective Footwearwere distributed among the leprosy patients, informed Rajesh Thakur divisional spokesman here .
The Sit and draw competition, essay writing competition and painting competition were also organized on this occasion .
