ITI trainers will receive training at ITE Singapore, decides Scindia

The Minister for Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Yashodhara Raje Scindia has taken important decisions to promote high level training and quality education in technical education and skill development. During a review of the departments on Wednesday, Scindia said that ITI trainers would be sent for training at the Institute of Technical Education Singapore. Along with this, the trained trainers will also be rewarded on the basis of the feedback of the institute.

Minister Scindia said that encouragement and respect in any field helps in promoting quality. Therefore we have decided that the trainers and principals who do excellent work will be rewarded. This will not only bring quality in their performance but also motivate the students.

Technical Education Minister Scindia said that the students of Civil Faculty of Engineering College will be able to do internship at the site of the construction works implemented in the department. This will also ensure the quality of the ongoing construction works. Scindia informed that 10 topper students and their teachers will be rewarded at the end of each academic session of all government engineering, ITI and polytechnics.

Principal Secretary Technical Education Akash Tripathi informed that the construction work of Global Skill Park is to be completed by June 2023 and it is proposed to start the new session from July 2023. He said that the action to develop engineering colleges of Chhatarpur and aspirational districts (Khandwa, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Barwani, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Guna, Singrauli) as multi-disciplinary institutions is under process.

Tripathi informed that a task force has been constituted to connect every ITI of the state with the industry and to provide training to the youth as per the requirement of the industries. As per the recommendation of the task force, a proposal has been sent to the Central Government for conducting 15 days internship in one year course and 30 days in 2 years course from the upcoming training session in addition to dual system training in ITI training.

Director Skill Development Jitendra Singh Raje informed that after the approval of the new government ITIs Gairatganj, Buxwaha and Chitrangi, the number of government ITIs operating in the state has increased to 238. He informed that 10 trainees of carpenter trade, who are trained in Government ITI Betul in "One District-One Product", have been sent for one month training at Advance Wood Working Training Centre Institute of Wood Science and Technology in Bengaluru for skill development. Trainees have received training related to CNC Machining, Programming, 2-D, 3-D Designing in wood works. Project Director of Global Skills Park Harjinder Singh and Chief Executive Officer  Shanmukh Priya Mishra were present.
