A beautiful balance between holding on and letting go is what is required in a game like Kabaddi, HEMA Higher Secondary School has organized an Inter School Kabaddi competition as part of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the school in which 8 schools participated. Kabaddi the game of strength which is characterized by breath control techniques a blend of rugby and wrestling. It develops the overall mental and physical strength.
The red letter day of the school started off with the arrival of the Chief Guest Malti Rai, Mayor, Bhopal, Anita Pramod Shukraware Councilor.
They were welcomed by the Principal of the school Poonam Sharma, Robin Sharma School Head Boy, Harpreet Kaur School Head Girl followed by general salute and a well synchronized march past. HEMA School always fosters among its students the love for sports and games.Every small to big celebrations are incomplete without the divine blessings and to invoke the blessings of the divine power lighting of the ceremonial lamp was done by the dignitaries.
The programme was attended by the Governing Committee Member of HEMA Education society. Songs always soothe the ears and refreshes the soul. The school choir filled the atmosphere with their soulful welcome song that gave a boost to the ambience of the competition.
As a token of gratitude and love the dignitaries were presented saplings by the Principal of the school. A beautiful and captivating dance was performed by the students to infuse in the participants positivity and to make them feel relaxed.
The Chief Guest Malti Rai in her address has emphasized on the importance of games and also asked students to development an interest towards games and to inherit age old traditional game Kabaddi. Principal of the school Poonam Sharma addressed the gathering by giving some valuable tips to develop sportsmanship and also to inculcate values of team spirit and facing of adverse situations with calm and ease.
The competition started off with a spirit of enthusiasm and each participating team was highly motivated and air was filled with the whistling and clapping by the spectators.
The winner of the tournament was HEMA Higher Secondary School, 2 nd position was bagged by Silver Bells followed by Prerana Kiran Public School bagging 3 rd Prize. On this occasion the officials were presented with Memento as token of love and gratitude. The programme came to an end by proposing of vote of thanks by the school Head Boy Robin Sharma.
