Issuing general information, the RMC on Sunday said that those who have made provision for harvesting after constructing house, building, they should inform the corporation within 15 days.
According to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner, whoever does this, their tax on holding tax will be waived separately in the next financial year. Interested citizens should submit the declaration of water harvesting of their house in the corporation office for this.
There are also many citizens living in the civic body’s area whose houses have rain water harvesting systems. For some reason, the information about the availability of water harvesting facilities after the construction of the house has not been given to the corporation till now. Due to this, they have to pay holding tax up to one and a half times regularly.
As per information provided by the civic body, under the Jharkhand Municipal Property Tax (Assessment, Collection and Recovery) Rules 2011, such citizens should inform the corporation that they have made arrangements for harvesting in their respective houses, houses, buildings. With this, the tax levied in their holding tax will be removed.
