Miscreants targeted a house of a doctor at Saket Nagar and escaped with valuables worth Rs 4 lakhs on Tuesday; Govindpura police have started investigation.
Police said that the victim Dr. Deepak Sen had gone to drop his mother at railway station at around 3 and when he returned around after an hour, he found the valuables to have been burgled.
A complaint was lodged by the victim with the Govindpura police and in his complaint, he stated that he had gone to drop her mother and when he returned doors were found open and valuables were found burgled.
Two days ago, the victim inaugurated his new house in Saket Nagar. The victim claimed that gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 4 lakhs were burgled. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 454 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the CCTV footage of the nearby installed cameras were searched in the investigation. In the footage suspects have been spotted, claimed police. The neighbours were not aware of the burglary.
The burglary was committed in a short period of time which suggests that the miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the victim.
