Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the interests of the honest candidates in the paper leak case of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) would be safeguarded.
The CM gave this assurance when some selected candidates of the graduate level examination of UKSSSC met him here on Tuesday. In the meeting the candidates expressed their apprehension about their future. Responding to them the CM said that the candidates who have cleared the examination with hard work and honesty should not get disheartened. He also reiterated that not even a single guilty person would be spared in the scam. Dhami said that the government has acted promptly and ordered an inquiry on the complaints of irregularities in the recruitments. He said that some cases have been handed over to the Special Task Force (STF) while Vigilance has been deputed to investigate a few other cases. The assurance of the CM Dhami to the selected candidates that the interests of the honest candidates would be protected should come as a relief to the large number of candidates who have either cleared the examinations and are waiting for appointment orders or the aspirants of the competitive examinations. These youth are apprehensive about their future as the STF is investigating the recruitment scam with some of them demanding a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation. In the examination paper leak case of UKSSSC, the STF has so far arrested 29 persons for their alleged involvement in this scam.
