Ratna Pathak, wife of Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, has created a ruckus on Karva Chauth, has sparked a war on social media, she has come under the trolls' target, people tweeted on her statement. She said that sometime speak on Triple Talaq, Halala and Mutah, let us tell you that Ratna Pathak Shah is often in the headlines for his controversial statement, this time Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has also given a befitting reply to her.

Ratna Pathak Shah said 'I will keep the fast of Karva Chauth? Pagal hoon kya .. Responding to this, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said – Ratnapathak ji, a supporter of tukde-tukde gang, commenting on Karva Chauth, the religious festival of Hindus, is very shameful and shows her mental bankruptcy.

Ratna Pathak Shah while talking about social change said that everyone is talking about it, are you not fasting on Karva Chauth? Till date no one has asked me this, last year someone asked me this for the first time. I said 'am I crazy? Isn't it strange, modern educated women pray for the long life of their husbands, observe a fast of Karva Chauth, for this she was trolled heavily on social media.

A social media user compared it to Muslim women wearing Hijab and tweeted: “Modern women wearing hijab is 'Freedom of choice' Modern women doing Karva Chauth is 'Appalling'!! Kahaan se laato ho itna doglapan.”(From where you bring these double standards)  Modern women doing Karva Chauth is 'Appalling'!!
