Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in places across the State today. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall occurring at isolated places in the mountainous regions of the State on Sunday. Further, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in the plains of the State. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places with intense showers possible at isolated places in the districts today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy sky. Light to moderate rainfall / thundershowers are likely to occur which may be heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 29 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today. Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 26.6 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 30.5 degrees Celsius and 25.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.3 degrees Celsius and 14.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 19.8 degrees Celsius and 17.6 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
