The Garhwa Police have arrested two persons from Sasaram and Kaimur in Bihar, involved in fraud of Rs. 11.30 lakh from a hardware businessman Dashrath Ram on January 17 in the name of availing Rs 50 lakh loan from a Micro Finance Company.
Giving information in this regard, Garhwa Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashish Kumar Jha on Sunday said that a hardware dealer named Dashrath Ram had filed an FIR in the Garhwa Sadar police station alleging that he had been cheated of Rs11 lakh by two persons who pretended to be employees of Micro Finance Company in the name of getting a loan.
The SP further told that as matter was big, SIT has been constituted to crack the case. On the basis of suspicion, when the police traced the suspects, they came to know that both Roshan Kumar of Kaimur and Harendra Kumar Prajapati of Rohtas (Bihar)are behind the fraud. In the light of this information, the SIT team arrested both persons with documents of depositing Rs 50000 in the bank and fake Aadhar card and mobile have been recovered from them. The amount deposited in the bank has been freeze.
This was a unique fraud case of Garhwa district because the said cheaters had won the trust of businessman Dashrath Ram by giving a total of Rs 62000 instead of 1 in the name of double note. Then cheated Rs.11.30 lakh in the name of getting Rs. 50 lakh loan and when it came time to pay the loan amount, he handed over a bundle of paper in the shape of rupees.
