Four-day Ijtema commences in Bhopal

With the offering of Farj (morning prayer), religious scholar congregration (Ijtema) of Muslim community started in the state capital on Friday. About 467 Jamaats (religious scholars groups) reached state capital in the four day long congregation.

It is estimated that 10 lakh people will attend this 4-day event and over 1000 jamats will visit. Muslim religious leaders will deliver religious speeches.

After the place for Ijtema was shifted to Eintkhedi  a  separate place which is reserved in the Eintkhedi where elaborate arrangements have been made for the Jamaatis taking care of all needs from prayers to food.

It could not be organized for the last two years due to Corona. The four-day long Alami (Global Congregation) will conclude on November 21.

Ijtema is organized at a global level in only 3 countries around the world: India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Due to Corona, this event could not be organized for the last two years.

Apart from this, the administration has also made strict preparations regarding police security, traffic control and route going to Ijtema site.

Due to the expectation of participation of lakhs of people in Ijtema, tents have been set up in 30 lakh square feet. A 17 kilometer long pipeline has been laid in it. Apart from this, there are all arrangements for toilets etc. Within this, about 17000 people can do Vaju together. Food arrangements have also been made in Ijtema. For this, 34 food zones have been created here.

Only veg food will be available there. This time the Ijtema committee has banned meat products. About 2 lakh people will be able to eat food simultaneously in the food zone. Around 300 acres of land has been arranged for parking.

The police administration has made elaborate arrangements to see the arrangements for the bus stand, railway station, Ijtemagah approach road. Along with these, 20000 volunteers are deployed. Meanwhile, the round of lectures by the Ulemas(religious scholars) will go on for the whole day. On Friday, the first day of Ijtima, Juma prayers were also offered.
