Thousands of devotees witnessed the Nabajauban Besha of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra at the Shreemandir here on Wednesday.
The Nabajauban Darshan had been cancelled for the last two years due to the Covid-19 situation. On this day, the deities appear in youthful forms after recovering from fever due to the bath on the occasion of Snan Purnima and emerging from the Anasar Ghar, where they had stayed for 14 days for treatment.
As per the schedule, Parimanik (paid) darshan of the deities in Nabajauban Besha was held for one hour from 8 am to 9 am followed by general darshan from 9 am to 10.30 am, from 2 pm to 3 pm, from 6 pm to 6.30 pm, from 9 pm to 10.30 pm and from 11.30 pm to 12.30 am.
Meanwhile, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has released the schedule for darshan of deities on the occasion of Ubha Yatra on Thursday (June 30), a day before the Rath Yatra on Friday.
The devotees can have glimpse of deities at the temple from 4 am to 6.30 am, from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm and from 3.30 pm to 5 pm on Thursday.
