Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribag Nancy Sahay today visited the NTPCproject and also mining areas of the project in Badkagaon Hazaribag area. During the visits the DC took stock of progress of under-construction work. She had a long meeting with the officers of the NTPC.
The DC directed the officers of NTPC to provide maximum jobs to the local males and females. With the help of jobs, the economic conditions of the villagers will improve.
The DC gave more emphasis on the community development services in the affected areas. The company should provide study materials to the primary students and also drinking facilities to the schools of the villages.
She instructed the NTPC officers that the company must arrange houses for such villagers whose land has been acquired by the company. She went to the RR colony and gave instructions to the company officers.
The DC also went to the cotton factory at Sikari and met with workers who were doing the work there. She visited the ITI which is run by the NTPC to provide technical jobs to the youths of the villages.
During the visit the Additional Collector (AC) Rakesh Roshan, LRDC (Land Revenue Deputy Collector) Binod Kumar and Barkagaon block development officer Jitendra Kumar were present.
