Cyber crime police arrested three persons from Haryana and Rajasthan who work as organized gang and blackmailed by recording obscene videos by befriending on social media.
The accused were identified as M Adil of Dhadoli Firozpur Jhirka Haryana, Azhruddin of Haryana and Tamil Khan. The accused first make friends on social media by making a fake ID in the name of the girl on various sites. Interacting through video calls, make video calls they would trap vicitms.
By recording the screen, making a video and threatening to make it viral on social media, they demand money. For fraud, using fake SIM cards and bank accounts of other states, withdraw money and distribute it among themselves.
The accused live in the villages around the border of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan and commit the crime. The victim Jai Prakash was threatened by video call on his mobile by recording obscene video and asked for money, which was deposited in installments in fake accounts of Rs 68,2000.
The accused first make friends on social media by making a fake ID in the name of the girl on various sites, then cajole people and making a video call by trapping them and in front of the camera at the time of the video call.
The accused were arrested and 1 tab, 3 mobile phones and 6 SIM cards, three bank ATM cards, one bank passbook were recovered from theri possession. The accused were identified as M Adil of Dhadoli Firozpur Jhirka Haryana, Azhruddin of Haryana and Tamil Khan.
