In the fake letter it was written that he should be posted in CBI after joining. The officials got suspicious when the seal and sign were found scanned in the letter.

On investigation, it was found that the headquarters has not issued any such joining letter. Nor has there been an order from the headquarters to join duty. The officers immediately apprehended the dismissed and handed over to Misrod police.

According to information, Nagendra Prasad Gautam is Inspector in CRPF IG Office MP Sector Bangarsia Camp in his complaint he stated that Vikram Solanki of Hirapur, District Dhanbad, Jharkhand, was posted as a constable in 155 Battalion under the MP Sector Headquarters. Two years ago he suddenly went missing from duty and even after several letters were written to him from the department to join, he neither received the letter and replied or resumed his duty, nor informed the department about his absence.

On January 19, the disciplinary authority, the Commandant, dismissed him from service. On December 22, at around 12.30 in the afternoon  the constable reached with a letter from CRPF Inspector General of Police, Madhya Pradesh Sector.

The accused told the CRPF officials during interrogation that he had received a letter of appeal from the DIG on the orders of the IG. It had the sign and seal of the then DIG which he scanned. Later another letter was made in order to join the CBI and scanned the DIG's sign and seal. The accused said that his wife is with the crime branch and had advised to make such a letter. However, the police have not made his wife an accused.
