Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that by planting more and more saplings, we all have to pay off the debt of the earth. Planting trees is very important for the balance of the environment. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was planting saplings at Smart Garden on Sunday.
Along with Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar and environment-loving youths also planted saplings. These youths included Kuhu Sharma and members of Group Bhopal, Smt. Kuhu Sharma, Pulkit Sharma and Smt. Anjali Goyal.
Chief Minister Chouhan today planted saplings of Bija and Karanj. The Bija tree is rich in medicinal properties along with being environmentally important. Its wood is used for making furniture. Karanj plant is considered important in Ayurvedic medicine. Karanj plant is also used in religious works.
