The Chhattisgarh government on Saturday announced that all Class III and IV employees must have 50 percent attendance in the offices of the Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhavan) and all heads of Departments building (Indravati Bhavan) from January 31.
The General Administration Department had on January 10 issued an order for one-third attendance of Class III and IV employees in view of a dramatic surge in Covid-19, an official communication said.
The GAD said in a circular to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and all Heads of Departments that there was a need to expedite the disposal of public related works.
The Section Officers and senior officers will have to give 100 percent attendance in offices.
The officers and employees should give priority to the use of private or departmental vehicles instead of public buses, the circular said.
The restrictions imposed on the entry of outsiders will continue at Mahanadi Bhawan and Indravati Bhawan.
