After rainfall faded away state capital has witnessed hot and humid weather conditions in the past one week. Light to moderate rain is witnessed at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh for the last two days, still weather remained hot and humid.
Due to the system being built from Rajasthan to Odisha via Madhya Pradesh, monsoon rains have started again in the state monsoon has become more active from Wednesday.
Continuous moisture incursion from the Arabian Sea has induced rainfall. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of moderate to heavy rain in 14 districts of the state.
In the afternoon it rained heavily in Jabalpur. The Met has issued an alert of heavy rain in Jabalpur. In Sagar, Damoh, Guna, Khajuraho and Naugaon, water fell up to half an inch. It also rained at isolated places in Khandwa, Rajgarh, Chhindwara and Satna.
Met said that there is a possibility of good rain for three to four days from Wednesday. With this the monsoon will also set in Madhya Pradesh.
Light to very heavy rain may occur at isolated places in Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Umaria, Anuppur, Shahdol, Dindori, Chhatarpur, Niwari, Chhindwara and Balaghat districts. Moderate to heavy rain would be witnessed in in Sheopurkalan, Morena, Bhind, Shivupari and Datia.
Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, Chambal, Dhar, Neemuch, Ratlam, Shajapur, Dewas, Agar and Mandsaur. Thunderstorms and thundershowers may occur at isolated places over Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur and Ujjain.
At present, a central cyclonic activity is active over west-central Arabian Sea. Simultaneously, the East-West Trough is extending from Southwest Rajasthan to West-central Bay of Bengal across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and South Odisha. A trough is running parallel to North Kerala Coast from North Maharashtra.
