Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the creation of Shri Mahakal Lok is wonderful and unique. Its fame is in the country and abroad. This is a unique creation of God. Now programmes will be organised in Ujjain from Shivratri to Gudi Padwa for greater publicity of Shri Mahakal Lok and to take it to the common people in the country and abroad.
The Chief Minister said that people would know more and more about Shri Mahakal Lok, for this he himself would send letters and Mahakal's Prasad to the prominent people of the country for its darshan.
Chouhan attended the programme to show gratitude to the members of the organising committee of Shri Mahakal Lok and sadhu-saints at Kalidas Academy on Tuesday. Chouhan expressed his gratitude to all the sadhu-saints and committee members. He said that due to the efforts of all of you, the dedication of Shri Mahakal Lok has been performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As a mark of gratitude, the Chief Minister showered flowers on the sadhu-saints and the members of the organising committee.
The Chief Minister said that Shri Mahakal Lok is a place of reverence, faith, purity and inspiration. Mahakal Lok is not a picnic spot. All of us should make such an effort that the devotees of Mahakal should also have darshan of Shri Mahakal Lok with a feeling of reverence and devotion in their heart.
The CM said that Lord Bhole Shankar is my idol. To save the world, he consumed Halahal Vish (deadly poison) while putting himself at stake. In Shri Mahakal Lok, Shiva's glory and our religious beliefs are depicted on stone. Our generation coming to Mahakal Lok will be able to get acquainted with our religious tradition and faith from the murals. The origin of the universe, the origin of Kshipra and the glory of Shiva have been engraved in a very beautiful way in Shri Mahakal Lok. The Chief Minister said that now a detailed action plan will be prepared for the operation of Shri Mahakal Lok. He also invited suggestions from the organising committee.
Chouhan said that Lord Mahakal is paramount. We are all his servants. He said that on the day of Deepawali, Mahakal Lok should glitter with earthen lamps. Everyone must light an earthen lamp in the name of Mahakal Lok.
All should maintain a sense of purity and reverence and never bring negative feelings in their mind.
Chouhan said that the sanctity of Shri Mahakal Lok should be maintained, the premises should be clean and orderly. Also, the religious traditions that we have should not be broken. He said that Mahakal is a holy place for people to take inspiration. In the coming days, people from villages will also be made to visit here. Devotees coming from the villages will bring water from their village and pour it into the Rudra Sagar and consecrate Shri Mahakal with holy water. A detailed action plan is also being prepared for this. He said that the launch of Mahakal Lok was a systematic and complete programme. Till date such a programme has not happened in the country. This is not a full stop for us. Now we will also start the work of the second phase of Shri Mahakal Lok. The Chief Minister said that in the coming time, a thousand-room Dharamshala would also be built near Shri Mahakal Lok. With the building of Dharamshala, the people of the lower and middle class will get the facility of staying at a lower cost.
Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that today Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has brought a box of gifts. For the first time in Ujjain district, Dussehra ride was taken out in royal style. Member of Parliament Shri Anil Firojia said that the dream of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan to make Ujjain a religious and tourism city in the world has been fulfilled today.
The members of the organising committee gave suggestions to the Chief Minister regarding the maintenance and smooth operation of Shri Mahakal Lok. CM Shri Chouhan said that all suggestions will be considered.
Journalist Shri Shailendra Kulmi suggested that Shri Mahakal Lok is unique and grand. Its quality needs to be maintained in future. Shri Dinesh Srivastava said that the protection of Shri Mahakal Lok should be done by Jan Abhiyan Parishad instead of any commercial agency. Shri Ghanshyam Sharma suggested a ban on begging around Shri Mahakal Lok Complex. Shri Nilesh advised to appoint a separate IAS officer for the maintenance of Shri Mahakal Lok. Another citizen said that strict rules should be made for Shri Mahakal Lok Yatra. Strict action should be taken against those who violate our faith. Shri Roop Pamnani said that just as foreign diplomats visit the Taj Mahal, similarly, efforts should be made to include the darshan of Shri Mahakal Lok in the calendar of foreign diplomats.
