The Chhattisgarh model is an inclusive model for everyone. Gujarat is probably the only model to sell the country’s wealth, said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday.
Addressing the Fifth All India Professionals Congress (AIPC) organized here, Baghel said whenever there is talk on economy, there is mention of Chhattisgarh’s economic policy and its model.
Even after nine years, no one now speaks on the Gujarat model where inflation, poverty and hunger are on the increase. It is a model where continuous sale of a country's wealth is done.
The Chhattisgarh model is where people are connected to education, health and employment. It is a model where entrepreneurship is promoted utilizing locally available resources, he said.
He also threw light on other initiatives taken for rural producers and consumers through C-Mart.
AIPC President Shashi Tharoor said the way Chhattisgarh has brought development and changes, the same can be repeated in the entire country. There is a need to work with a focus on quality over numbers by understanding the needs of the common people.
He read out messages of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and MP Rahul Gandhi.
