C’garh Police Band plays Bapu’s favourite Bhajans

The Chhattisgarh Police Band on Sunday played the favourite Bhajans of Mahatma Gandhi at a programme organized at the city’s landmark location Marine Drive to commemorate his death anniversary.

It played ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ as well as ‘Vaishnav Jan Te’ and patriotic songs including ‘Aye Watan’, ‘Sare Jahan Se Achha’ and ‘Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge Ae Watan Tere Lie’.

The state anthem ‘Arpa Pairi Ke Dhar’ was also played at the beginning. 

The Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee also organized a programme at its headquarters Rajiv Bhawan where floral tributes were paid to the Mahatma’s portrait and a two-minute silence was held.
