The stores department of Bokaro Steel Plant has set a new record by emptying 40 rail wagons in just 42 hours. In the past years, this work has been done in an average of 66 hours. In these wagons, Ferro Manganese and Silico Manganese minerals were brought from Chandrapur plant of SAIL in Maharashtra, which are used in steel making. Officers and personnel of the Stores Department have unitedly established a new benchmark by performing this difficult task in record time by managing the resources and time in coordination with each other. All the officers, workers and contract workers of the stores department had an important contribution in the success of this work.
On this achievement of the team of Stores Department, Executive Director (Materials Management) Amitabh Srivastava went to the stores and congratulated the team of Stores Department. Further Mr. Srivastava called upon the officers and personnel of the Stores Department to continue the process of better performance in the coming times as well. On this occasion, Chief General Manager (Materials Management) Harsh Nigam along with other officers and employees of the Stores Department were present. The cooperation of the traffic department in completing this work was commendable.
