Rajya Sabha member and Aam Aadmi Party’s UP unit incharge, Sanjay Singh, in a political rally in Khalilabad on Sunday, said both the Bharatiya Janata Party and Bahujan Samaj Party were hands in hands in the ongoing UP assembly election.
“The BSP supremo is constantly sending messages through her speeches that she is standing staunchly with Yogi Adityanath,” he claimed.
He taunted the BSP, saying its symbol was an elephant holding a lotus in its trunk.
Singh appealed to the people to vote for Subodh Chand Yadav. “I assure you that Subodh will be with the party which is forming the government in UP to stop the BJP from coming back to power,” he said.
Sanjay Singh taunted SP and BJP saying two candidates were contesting election for the BJP. “One of them has been fielded by the BJP and other is SP’s BJP candidate who was BJP MLA for five years and was against the Citizenship Amendment Act and National Citizenship Register stir and helped the BJP government in getting the madrasas demolished during the last five years,” he said.
Singh added that the SP had given ticket to BJP’s turncoat.
Sanjay Singh also played the sympathy card, saying the BJP government had got several cases registered against him for raking up corruption, anomalies and other issues during the past four years.
“For last four years I have been constantly highlighting the misrule of the BJP and have been ‘gifted’ with cases/ FIRs. If you people are not helping me how will I continue my fight against Narendra Modi, Yogi Adityanath and Amit Shah. I assure you that I will pay off the debt of your votes if you people vote for the AAP candidate,” he said.
Singh said Yogi Adityanath was using foul language during the election campaign.
Meanwhile, AAP state president Sabhajeet Singh cast his vote in Ayodhya in the fifth phase polling on Sunday.
He said AAP would make the dream of the Arvind Kejriwal model of governance true in UP if the party was voted to power.
He told newsmen that AAP would fulfill the poll promises, like 300 units of free electricity, waiver of electricity arrears, end unemployment and set up ‘Mahila Samman Nidhi’ as promised in the AAP manifesto.
