Good news for Assistant Teachers working in the State Government schools of Jharkhand. There will be an increase in their honorarium from January of the next year and the date of annual increment has also been fixed.
The order was issued by the Director of Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC), Kiran Kumari Pasi on January 27. Information about this has been given to all District Education Officers (DEO) and District Education Superintendents (DES).
Provision has been made for increase in honorarium of Assistant Teachers (Para Teachers) and 4 per cent annual increase. Its provision has been made by the Directorate of Primary Education on September 28, 2022 in the 'Jharkhand Assistant Teacher Service Conditions Rules 2021'.
Clause 9 (ii) of the Rules states that in case of satisfactory service verification by the Administrative-cum-Disciplinary Authority, annual honorarium increase at the rate of 4 per cent has been assumed for Assistant Teachers.
In the order issued by the State Project Director, it has been said that the date for the annual honorarium increase has not been fixed in the rules. In view of this, a partial amendment has been made in the rules. For annual honorarium, the date for increase in honorarium is fixed on the first of January of every year.
According to this, the Assistant Teachers whose educational and training certificates have been verified, their satisfactory service should be confirmed by the concerned administrative-cum-disciplinary authority. Otherwise, in that situation, all the responsibility will be yours.
The State Project Director has given instructions for the payment of honorarium for January 2023 to such Assistant Teachers, whose educational and academic certificates have been verified. The teacher’s satisfactory service has been confirmed by the concerned administrative-cum-disciplinary authority to ensure that they take necessary action for an annual increase of 4 per cent in their honorarium.
