Four persons including a woman were injured after they were attacked by armed assailants at Pardi Mohalla under Gandhi Nagar police station area late in the evening on Thursday; one of the injured is critical, said police.
Fuelled with old enmity, Arvind Parmar and his brother Karvind were attacked by four miscreants who attacked with sharp edged weapons when the two victims were on their way to home. Police said that Karvind sustained head injury after he was attacked with sharp edged weapons by Abhay Pardhi, Chotu, Badal and Chakku.
At the time of the attack Arvind's wife Nirjala and brother-in-law Balram reached the spot and tried to rescue them but they were also attacked by the armed miscreants.
The four were rushed to hospital where Karvind who was attacked in his head is critical. The victims approached police and lodged a complaint and were provided with primary treatment.
It was found that the victims and accused are relatives and have an old dispute. Arvind's wife was at her parents house and he came to meet her along with his younger brother. After meeting when the two were on their way to home on a bike they were attacked by the accused.
Police started searching for the accused who were arrested for the attack.The police have registered a case of attempt to murder and assaulting. The family member of the accused would be questioned and their earlier crime record would be searched.
