A 30-year-old man strangled his four month old son to death after his wife refused to return home late in the night on Saturday in Gandhi Nagar.
Aryan was with his mother from where his father and accused Sanjay Verma pulled and strangulated Aryan to death and when Aryan stopped crying he escaped the spot.
Accused was heavily drunk at the time of murder. His wife had refused to return home at night with her drunk husband. Angered by this, the father dragged the son from his wife's lap and strangulated him to death.
The child was rushed to hospital where the doctor declared him dead. Police have arrested the accused from Mubarakpur jod.
The incident took place in the Gandhinagar area. Sangeeta Verma of BDA Quarter, Gondarmau, was married in 2015 to Sanjay alias Sanju Verma of Rajgarh. On Rakshabandhan, Sangeeta came to her maternal home with her four-month-old son Aryan.
On September 8, Sanju had reached her in-laws' house to bring her back and stayed there for three days. At around 6 pm on Saturday evening, he came heavily drunk and started pressuring wife to return home.
Wife and his aunt Janki Bai asked to leave early next which angered him and he snatched the child from Sangeeta's lap and pressed him against the wall and strangulated him to death.
