After Amul, Sanchi Milk Federation in Madhya Pradesh has also increased its milk rates. According to the order issued by the Bhopal Milk Association, milk prices have been increased by two rupees per liter.
The increased rates will be effective from August 20. Sanchi had earlier increased the price of milk in the month of March. All categories of milk including Full Cream, Gold, Standard, Toned, Chah and Chai Special are included in the increased rates. It is assumed that inflation will hit the general public due to the increase in the price of milk.
According to the increased rates, Sanchi's full cream milk was available for 29 rupees for half a liter. Now it will be available for 30 rupees. At the same time, one liter packet which used to be available at 57 rupees per liter will now be available at 59 rupees per litre.
A half liter packet of Dudh Shakti will now cost Rs 28 instead of Rs 27.
A half liter packet of toned milk will now cost Rs 25 instead of Rs 24. A half liter packet of double toned milk will cost Rs 23 instead of Rs 22.
A one-litre packet of Chai Special, which used to be Rs 47, will now be available for Rs 49. A 1 liter packet of Chah milk will now cost Rs 54 instead of Rs 52. However, the price of a two hundred ml packet of double toned milk has not been increased. This packet will be available for Rs 10 as before.
Congress spokesperson Sangeeta Sharma said in her statement that the BJP government is unable to rein in inflation.
During the time of Congress, the price of milk was taken according to the liter, now it is being taken according to drop by drop.
Now children have to be fed with milk only once instead of twice. Children of the poor are not getting milk. Countering this, BJP Spokesperson Neha Bagga said that the government has not increased the prices of milk and dairy products. The milk union decides to increase the price to compensate the farmers for the loss.
