The Adivasi Nyay Yatra (Tribal Justice Yatra) of Congress MLA Panchilal Meda has been stopped by the police at Lalghati. Angered by this, the workers staged a sit-in. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath also sat on the road with him. They stayed there for about 20 minutes and then left. After this, the angry Congressmen started trying to cross the barricades, in which MLA Meda's kurta got torn. Wearing a torn kurta, they proceeded by shouting slogans.

After the corruption in Karam Dam of Dhar district, MLA Panchilal Meda had started a padyatra from September 21, demanding compensation for local farmers and tribals. Congress MLAs and workers are also with him. Panchilal reached Bhopal on Thursday to meet the Governor. Even during the assembly session 14 days ago, MLA Meda's kurta was torn during heated discussion on this issue.

Congress MLA Panchilal Meda along with former ministers Sachin Yadav, Surendra Singh Baghel, Ashok Merskole, etc. led the tribal justice march which was stopped by police at Lalghati in Bhopal. After getting the information, PCC Chief Kamal Nath also reached Lalghati and sat on the dharna.

Kamal Nath said- “Congress's full support is with you. Congress will fight your battle on every front. We tried to take up this matter in the session of the assembly and seek an answer from the government on this, but the government did not want to discuss the corruption of Karam Dam and justice to the affected, so our point was ignored”. He condemned the attack on MLA Meda.
