Continuous action has been taken by Rail Protection Force under 'Operation Uplabdh' against unauthorized booking of rail tickets, under this action was taken and 241 e-tickets worth Rs 81113 , two cancelled tickets and Rs 1920 cash were recovered from Sagar post of Jabalpur division and outpost Damoh
The whole recovery from the two spots under Jabalpur division was done on the same day which was on November 28.
Acting on the tip off from the informer, Assistant Sub-Inspector Santosh Kumar Mishra and his staff raided Railway Reservation Center Damoh premises and caught an agent who were involved in dealing in illegal e-tickets and was questioned he was identified as Rahul Chaurasia of Damoh.
He said that as per the demand of the customers by taking 100 extra in addition to the fare he would take a ticket from Damoh. It was accepted to sell reservation tickets by taking a charge. Total 5 e-reservation tickets (in which 03 nos. advance journey cost Rs. 1325 and 2 cancelled tickets and Rs 1920 cash were recovered from his possession.
Inspector Anil Jha, Assistant Sub-Inspector Shyam Sundar Singh with the help of IT staff cell raided a shop of Katra Bazar Sagar where the shop operator named Mohammad Anas of Sagar revealed that he used to make e-ticket using two different IDs of his own.
By making e-tickets from mobile with personal ID, charging an additional fee of Rs 50 to Rs 100. On checking the mobile of the Anas from the first ID 62 e-tickets worth Rs 32,957 and from second ID 174 e-tickets worth Rs 46831 were found. Total 236 e-tickets with a total value of Rs.79,788 were found.
Principal Chief Security Commissioner, West Central Railway appreciated the Railway Protection Force action and against those involved in black marketing of e-rail tickets.
