A 20-year-old BTech student of TIT College died of drowning in Amargarh waterfall near Sehore district on Tuesday afternoon when the youth has gone for picnic at the spot.
Dipesh Kumar Shah is a resident of Madhubani district of Bihar. Along with college friends from Bhopal he had gone for a picnic at Amargarh waterfall located near Shahganj in Sehore district.
All the friends were taking a bath in the pool of the waterfall, when Dipesh slipped and went into the deep water his friends tried to save him but failed. Dipesh Shah drowned in the deep water. There is a network problem in the forest due to which they failed to alert for help and rescue.
As soon as other friends informed the college management and police, the Shahganj police station reached the Amargarh waterfall site, started rescue work to find the student. After about two hours of hard work, the body of youth was fished out.
After the Shahganj police investigation, around 8 pm, his body was brought to CHC Budhni for post-mortem.
Budni SDOP Shashank Singh told that the deceased student Dipesh Shah father Chandrakant Shah (20) was doing BTech from TIT College Bhopal.
Lived in a rented house in Bhopal Indrapuri C Piplani. He came for picnic with his college students where the accident happened. The matter is being investigated.
