17 deaths, 3,918 Covid cases reported in Haryana

Haryana on Sunday reported 17 more deaths and 3918 new COVID-19 cases taking the death toll to 10286 and cumulative case tally to 945969.

Three deaths each were reported in Gurugram and Panchkula, two each in Ambala, Sirsa and Karnal, one each in Faridabad, Panipat, Yamunanagar, Jind, Kaithal, and Panipat,  the state’s health bulletin stated.

The worst affected district- Gurugram reported 1267 fresh infections. Among other districts, 248 new cases were reported in Hisar, 244 in Panchkula, 222 cases in Faridabad, 207 in Sirsa. 

The active cases in the state stood at 28814.

Till date, 906846 persons have recovered from the virus in the state. 5284 persons were declared recovered in the last 24 hours.

The state recorded the daily positivity rate of 11.19 percent.

Punjab reports 22 deaths, 2803 new cases

As many as 22 fatalities due to COVID-19 were reported in Punjab as 2803 fresh infections surfaced on Sunday.

With this, the state’s COVID-19 tally has reached 741185 while the state’s death toll stood at 17214.

According to the state’s health bulletin, three deaths each were reported in Amritsar, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana, two fatalities each in Jalandhar, Gurdaspur and Moga, one each in Bathinda, Fazilka, SAS Nagar and Patiala.

The daily positivity rate in the state stood at 7.50 percent. 412 positive cases were reported in SAS Nagar, 404 in Ludhiana, 351 in Jalandhar, 224 in Amritsar, 195 in Hoshiarpur, 164 in Bathinda, 157 in Fazilka.

As per the bulletin, the active cases in the state were 26791. Among them, 1082 were on oxygen support, 326 in critical care level-3 facilities and 96 on ventilator support.

5433 patients recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 697180 in Punjab.

Himachal reports nine deaths, 787 fresh cases

Himachal reported nine more fatalities and 787 new infections on Sunday.

Four deaths were reported in Shimla, two in Kangra, one each in Kullu, Chamba and Solan, stated the state’s health bulletin.

The death toll due to COVID has reached 3978 and the cumulative case tally stands at 270078. A highest number of 148 cases were reported in Kangra district followed by 114 cases in Solan and 108 in Hamirpur, the bulletin said.

The number of active cases in the state stood at 9452 including the highest 1749 cases in Kangra district.  779 patients recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, the bulletin added.

Chandigarh logs 441 new Covid-19 cases, three deaths

Chandigarh on Sunday reported 441  new cases of Covid-19 and three deaths.

A daily positivity rate of 9.36 per cent was recorded. There were 3452 active cases in the city, according to the UT medical bulletin.

805 recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours in the city.

The death toll has reached 1118 while 84574 people have recovered till date.
