A day after actress Varsha Priyadarshini lodged a fresh FIR against her husband and BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty, Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra on Monday said the contents of the complaint were being scrutinised.
“We received a written complaint from Varsha Priyadarshini at Purighat police station yesterday. We have acknowledged the complaint. We will analyse the content of the FIR and take action accordingly,” Mishra said.
“A case has been already registered earlier in the dispute between the couple and the MP’s friend Jagrati Shukla, and a probe is ongoing. We are also taking into consideration the subsequent complaints being made by her. We are analysing whether contents are cognisable or non-cognisable offence and take action accordingly,” Mishra added.
Varsha lodged the complaint against her husband and his family at the Purighat police station here on Sunday. In her seven-page FIR, she accused Anubhav of telling fabricated stories in two videos to tarnish her image when the matter is sub-judice.
