Marking the second day Urdu Drama Festival the play ‘Ram: Imam-e- Hind - Naaz-e-Hind’ was staged on Wednesday. This play was presented by Abhyudaya Cultural Manch, Indore, whose writer and director is Alok Bajpai.
In the beginning of the programme, Nusrat Mehdi, Director of the Academy, while mentioning the place of Ramchandra in Urdu poetry, said that if you describe Ram in Urdu poetry, then Nazir Akbarabadi has the best poetry on Ram, Chakbast.
When the map of Ram's exile was been drawn, Allama Iqbal has given him the status of "Imam-e-Hind", acknowledging his valor, bravery, self-purification and his love for the subjects. This is also the basic theme of today's play and the name of the play has been named "Ram: Imam-e-Hind - Naaz-e-Hind".
In Urdu poetry, the nazms centered on Ram are being staged through a fictional Mushaira. This literary part is of about 50 minutes. The remaining part is a musical drama.
This is a new type of drama which can be called infodrama, that is, many important information is also presented in a dramatic form. The whole tone of the drama is of national unity, brotherhood and love, and the love, respect and peace for each other's religion and religious gurus in the effect of the country also underlines this play.
The main actors of the play were Sushil Johri, Badr Vasti, Shekhar Pathak, Pranjal Khotriya, Tanveer Farooqui, Gulrez Khan, Digdeep Singh, Javed Ahmed Shah Al - Hindi, Jai Girwal, Akshay Gathia, Abhishek Patel, Yash Rokade, Ujjwal Parsai The names of Digvijay Singh and Sandesh Vyas etc. are included.
