Chhattisgarh Health and Family Welfare Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Thursday said there was no need to impose a lockdown in the state due to Covid-19 yet.
Economic, business and trading activities will continue with vigilance, caution and adherence to Covid appropriate behavior (CAB), he said.
He was holding separate virtual meetings of Bemetara and Kabirdham districts to review the measures being undertaken for Covid-19 control and prevention with district officials, an official communication said.
People’s representatives, traders, social organizations and social workers of the panchayat and urban bodies were also present.
He sought cooperation from all to control the spread of the new wave of Covid-19 and ensure a necessary system to tackle it. He urged the people to venture out of the house only when absolutely necessary and avoid crowded places.
The Minister asked the district officials to keep a tab on hoarding and profiteering. No artificial crisis of any item should be created.
Compulsory Covid-19 test of passengers of all inter-state buses entering Kabirdham district should be done, he said.
