MGNREGA Commissioner Rajeshwari B has said that with the twin intention of creating wealth with employment in rural areas, the scope of MGNREGA schemes launched in the State has been further expanded. Now, MGNREGA has been made an effective weapon to deal with the problem of malnutrition along with employment generation. The MGNREGA Commissioner was speaking today in a meeting related to the Didi Bari scheme, which is being run by the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation, JSLPS and MGNREGA.
The MGNREGA Commissioner said that initiative is being taken under MGNREGA through the Didi Bari scheme. In the meeting, the cultivation of papaya, lemon, amla and jackfruit moringa was discussed with the rural families. To promote the cultivation of papaya, lemon, amla and jackfruit moringa in the state with MGNREGA and Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department, various aspects were discussed and the related topic was discussed in detail.
In the said meeting, Deputy Director Horticulture Directorate Rajendra Kishore, Additional Director Agriculture Directorate BN Tripathi and others were present.
