Delhi Cantt MLA from the Aam Admi Party Birendra Singh Kadian said the BJD Government has failed to provide basic amenities to the people in Odisha and the AAP has come forward to fulfil it.Kadian, State convener of Odisha, was here at Bhawanipatna on Tuesday to strengthen the party.
Kadian said," We are demanding free electricity up to 200 units to the consumers from the Odisha Government as it is a surplus State for producing the energy.” He asked when it was applied by the Delhi Government why the BJD Government was reluctant. He said around 40,000 youths have joined the AAP in the State and the aspirants will be given tickets from all the constituencies in Odisha in the upcoming elections.
Taking a swipe at the ruling BJD Government in Odisha, he said private schools and colleges in Odisha are mushrooming leading to privatization of education. But in Delhi, there is a reverse trend as 3.75 lakh students from private schools returned and studied in Government schools because the model was changed. He said in Odisha even schools under 5T are reeling under shortage of teachers.
State president Nishikant Mohapatra said patients are forced to visit hospitals out of the State as the districts have no facilities for treatment. "We will provide multi specialty hospital in each district," he added.
He assured to provide employment to the youths by setting up industries in the local area. Though Kalahandi is famous for paddy and cotton production, youths are still unemployed, he lamented.
In the meeting Nuapada district convener Soknath Senapati and district convener Krutibas Mund among others were present.
