Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena,  Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Delhi Assembl’s Leader of Opposition  Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Delhi BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva and other BJP leaders on Friday condoled the passing away of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother.

Saxena, in a tweet, prayed to God to provide strength to the prime minister to bear the loss."Deeply saddened by demise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Hiraba. Wish Moksha to mother along with crores of countrymen in this hour of sorrow. I pray to God to give strength to the prime minister to bear the loss of his mother," the LG said.

Modi's mother Hiraben passed away at a hospital in Ahmedabad on Friday. She was 99. Sisodia said the news of her death was very saddening.

Delhi BJP leaders on Friday paid tributes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Hiraben, with Home Minister Amit Shah saying the way she nurtured her family through numerous struggles is a role model for everyone. Leader of Opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri expressed deep condolences to the death of PM Modi’s mother.”The entire nation is saddened by the demise respected Mataji. Her loving blessing from heaven will always be with whole country,” Bidhuri said.

Expressing deep sorrow over the demise of the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi BJP Working President Virendra Sachdeva has said that the life of PM's Mother Heera Ben is inspirational for all of us.

“Not only did she give values of honesty and service to all her children including Narendra Modi even in adverse economic conditions, but the way she used to do all her work herself at the age of 100 years acts as an inspiration to today's youth,” he said.
