Ayushmann on theatre reopening

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is delighted with the massive comeback that theatres have scripted with Sooryavanshi. As the pandemic is looking to wane, Khurrana feels people will only want to consume films on the big screen as they want to have community experiences after almost two years of being secluded due to the virus.

“So many of my life’s favourite memories are linked to me watching movies in a theatre. I’m feeling really happy that Hindi films are now set to release in theatres and make a big comeback,” he expressed.

‘I would say in those darkest nights when I went through rejections and had given endless auditions but could not bag the project, my parents were my biggest support. Especially my mother, who said that ‘at times the wait is longer when the talent meets the opportunity but that does not mean you give up. ‘They have a really weird perception of hotness in India for women. I don’t understand it. Of course, it’s better now but when I started my career, it was weird. One producer, in his warped thinking, stated that since the song is hot, how will the audience know I am hot? He said, ‘You are so hot that one can heat chapatis on your waist.’ I put my foot down and said no. But I thought it was a funny and an original idea.’

Ryan jokes about being the sexiest

Actor Ryan Reynolds stated that his friend, actor Paul Rudd shouldn’t play shy about being titled the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ 2021 by People.

“Don’t blow this, Rudd. If you are there, don’t blow this opportunity. Run like the wind,” he joked.

“Now, if I had received that title... I’m not saying I would leave my family, but they might need to go on without me. I would roam the world clutching my dog-eared People magazine, going from town to town, sowing my wild oats like some magical gardener. It would be amazing.”
